Carla attended massage school at Carlson College of Massage Therapy in Anamosa, IA 1995-1996. She has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1996 and became involved in AMTA activities soon after. Carla was the chapter Treasurer from 1999 until 2014 when she became the chapter President. She received the Meritorious Award in the fall of 2004 and 2013, has attended national leadership meetings held in Evanston, Illinois in 2006 and 2007 and has also represented the AMTA - North Dakota Chapter by being their delegate in 2009, at the National Convention which was held in Orlando, Florida. In addition to being a member of the board, Carla has been the chapter's historian and the newsletter editor when needed. Carla currently maintains a full time practice within a busy Chiropractic Clinic in Bismarck.

Carla has been married to Kent since 1993, they have 3 daughters; Kierra, Jenna, and Emma and 3 kitties; Gracie, Roxy and Simon, 7 horses and a passel of chickens. In her spare time, which is minimal, she enjoys home remodeling, gardening and working with her horses.

Pamela Blazek - board member

Pamela, a North Dakota native and USAF/USArmy Reserve Veteran [1989-1993], attended Minot State University, Minot, ND with an interest in Corporate Fitness ['94-'96], then went off to study at The Desert Institute of the Healing Arts, Tucson, AZ graduating with honors in 1997.  After graduation, she moved to Vacaville, CA and worked at a privately owned spa.  After a short time, Pamela moved back to her home state and opened up a private practice in Fargo, ND where she worked in a Chiropractor's office as a private contractor, then was asked to join the Fargo YMCA where she practiced for two years before moving into a private office, then finally at The Parlor ending a seven-year career in North Dakota. Pamela then spent 10 years in the Nashville, TN area as a private business owner/practitioner/educator. It was in Nashville, that Pamela first got fully involved with the AMTA. Having been a professional member since 2002, it was the Spring of 2012 that Pamela was elected to represent the AMTA -TN Chapter HOD or House of Delegates.  In the winter of 2013, Pamela moved back to North Dakota.  While attending the AMTA ND Chapter Spring Convention in 2014, Pamela was elected as 2nd Vice President and Education Chair where she serves still. She attends educational and leadership conferences on a regular basis to stay up to date on new techniques and business strategies. She will celebrate 20 years in practice in August 2017. Pamela looks forward to many more years offering intuitively based sessions mixing multiple modalities to fit her clients' needs.Her love of the art of massage and her need to promote a healthy mind, body, & spirit through her practice comes through in each individual session. Serving on the AMTA ND Chapter Board has been one of the highlights of her career.

Michelle received her massage therapy degree from Williston State college in 2004 after taking classes in Bismarck through their distance education program. She opened her massage practice, Relax & Retreat Massage in New Rockford, ND after passing the National Boards where she offers Swedish massage, therapeutic massage, deep tissue and hot stone massage. Michelle also works closely with local physical therapists and chiropractors.  She loves problem solving and working with clients to become pain free. Michelle loves to learn and attended Jamestown University for 2 1/2 years from 1993-1996. She also received her Associate of Arts degree from Lake Region State College in 2003. 

In Michelle's spare time she enjoys spending time with her family.  Her son,Terik is a member of the North Dakota National Guard where he works full time at Camp Grafton in Devils Lake, ND.  Michelle has been married to her husband, Lane since 2010.
